Use the Pixel Count for how
many squares to cut of each fabric and the following chart to determine
how much fabric to buy.
Fabric requirements for 1 1/2" squares

Cut
about 25 squares from a 1 1/2" strip of fabric (42 - 44"
selvage to selvage)

Cut
about 75 squares from a fat eighth, if you can buy one.

Cut
about 150 squares from a 1/4 yard (selvage to selvage or fat quarter)

Cut
about 300 squares from a 1/2 yard.
Fabric requirements for
1" squares

Cut
about 40 squares from a 1" strip of fabric (42 - 44" selvage
to selvage)

Cut
about 120 squares from a fat eighth, if you can buy one.

Cut
about 240 squares from a 1/4 yard (selvage to selvage or fat quarter)

about 480 squares from a 1/2 yard.
